Q & A

1.

The pamphlet states only one family per household. Can I submit two myself, or should I put my mother's name on one? (just to triple check, I don't want to do anything to prevent my info. from being included)

You can go ahead and submit the two entries

2.
One of the lines that I'm going to submit... they apparently went back and forth between Metcalfe, Barren and Hart, and it seems "major" life events happened in Hart and Metcalfe. Should I put in there what census' they are listed as having lived in Barren or just let it be? The next generation you can "tell" that there are Barren Co. ties by life events.

If the detail of when they lived where is important to you, then you could list the census information, or you could simply say that  they are listed as living in Barren in the 18— census, etc.
3.
I'm having a hard time keeping it to 500 words, this is without any "stories", just names, dates and places (I don't want to leave anyone out). Could you tell me if this would be counted as three words or how is it you'll be counting words? Example: Aug. 29, 1865. Would the 29 comma,  be counted as one word?

This is not an exact science and I think it’s fair to “round” a bit. We generally consider 1-1/2 pages typed, double spaced as about 500 words. Dates like this would be counted as one word, and anything that is three letters or more in length would be counted as a word, but not little things like “a” “an” or “he” for example.
4.
If I start numbering children is the number counted as a word? Example: 1. Frances... 2. Murrell... 3. Virgil...

I would count this as three words.
