THE DEATH OF REV. GILLOCK

Was One Of Finest Men County Ever Knew; Interment Was At Austin Sunday

Isaac Haiden Gillock born August 16th., 1855, died at the home his son near New Home Church, in the Austin section. Death occurred Saturday and was due to heart failure. Mr. Gillock was 71 years of age. Mr. Gillock was twice married. His first wife was Flora E. Bridges. To this union were born eight children. His second wife was Victoria Fisher, whom he married in 1907. Surviving Mr. Gillock are one son, R. G. Gillock, of Austin; three daughters, Mrs. W. H. Harris, of Daytona, Fla.; Mrs. E. A. Berry, of Bowling Green; Mrs. W. B. Meng, Lucas; one niece he raised from childhood, Mrs. Zebedee Berry, this county, and five grand children; one great grandchild.

Mr. Gillock was one of the best known, best liked men of Barren county. He was a Baptist preacher of very great power and force, and news of his death comes as a shock to a host of friends and admirers all over this and adjoining counties.

Mr. Gillock was man of fine principle, and unswerving in his be­lief. He stood for the right, and was plain spoken, and honest in all his dealings with his fellowman. The whole county loses in the death of this good man and citizen.

Funeral was at Austin Sunday, and interment followed there.
