Imogene E. Isenberg, 72, of Bowling Green died at 9 a.m. June 7, 2007, at Greenview Regional Hospital.

She was born at Mammoth Cave National Park on March 2, 1935. She was a retired bookkeeper at Beech Bend Park, a Baptist, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend and enjoyed working with crafts. She was a daughter of the late Roe Esters and Ora Skaggs Esters and the wife of the late Edwin “Ed” Isenberg, who died Sept. 26, 1988. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Lynn Isenberg; three brothers, Arvel, Arnold and Leon Esters; a sister, Alene Toms; and a stepmother, Mary Esters.

Funeral is at 10 a.m. Saturday at J.C. Kirby & Son Funeral Home, Broadway Avenue chapel, with burial in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors include a son, Eldon Isenberg and his wife, Jani, of Bowling Green; a sister, Alberta Jones of Louisville; two brothers, Bedford Esters and his wife, Lorene, of Franklin and Leo Esters and his wife, Shelby, of Cave City; a stepsister, Cleva Hatcher of Cave City; a stepbrother, A.G. Buckingham of Mount Washington; two grandchildren, Shea Isenberg and Blake Edwin Isenberg, both of Bowling Green; two great-grandchildren, Chase Keeton and Ellie Jane Salgado; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS, SHE WAS ALSO PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, THE LATE EDWIN 'ED' ISENBERG, A DAUGHTER, LYNN ISENBERG, THREE BROTHERS, ARVEL ESTERS, ARNOLD ESTERS, AND LEON ESTERS. ALSO A SISTER, ALENE TOMS, AND HER STEPMOTHER, MARY ESTERS

SHE WAS A BAPTIST, A LOVING MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, AND GREAT GRANDMOTHER, SISTER AND FRIEND. SHE ENJOYED WORKING WITH CRAFTS.

SURVIVORS INCLUDE A SON, ELDON ISENBERG AND HIS WIFE JANI OF BOWLING GREEN.

THERE ARE TWO GRANDCHILDREN, BOTH OF BOWLING GREEN, SHEA ISENBERG AND BLAKE EDWIN ISENBERG. ALSO TWO GREAT GRANDCHILDREN, CHASE KEETON AND ELLIE JANE SALGADO. IN ADDITION TO SEVERAL NIECES AND NEPHEWS AND GREAT NIECES AND NEPHEWS.

FRIENDS MAY CALL FROM4 UNTIL 8 P.M. FRIDAY AT THE BROADWAY CHAPEL. FUNERAL SERVICES WILL BE CONDUCTED AT 10 A.M. SATURDAY AT THE FUNERAL HOME. INTERMENT WILL BE IN THE FAIRVIEW CEMETERY.
